A new Adventure, A new Jeep

Having driven the expanse of Europe, NZ & the USA –

My spare time has been taken up by the idea of Exploring Southern Africa.

What better place to test out the new overland build, than in Namibia.

After a month of looking for a CRD Diesel Jeep.

I found this gem, low milage and a good service history.

She will be called Rubi2-

I could not help but start this build off properly.

Getting rid of the standard JK stock suspension, we installed the Heavy Duty Outback Teraflex coil suspension kit & Teraflex 2.1 Monotube shock absorbers.

The 2.5” lift should be plenty to add 35” inch tires, but since this build will be tailored for long journeys into the unknown, I ordered a set of Mickey Thompson Mud terrain MTZ P3’s in 33” inches, paired with Dynamic Steel Beadlock rims. (Should be installed last week of August)
